Security
Overview
HomeCast was built with the understanding that real estate professionals handle sensitive information about clients, properties, and transactions. We treat your data — and the data you submit on behalf of your clients — with care.
This page outlines how HomeCast handles, stores, and protects information. It is updated as our practices evolve.
What We Collect
When you request a HomeCast report, we collect:
- Your name, email, and phone number
- The property address you submit
- Optional MLS number, if provided
- Optional year built, if provided
We do not collect or store information about your clients, buyer details, or transaction details. The property address is used solely to generate your report.
How We Use Your Data
Your information is used to:
- Generate your HomeCast Property Intelligence Report
- Deliver the report to you via email
- Send occasional product updates and educational content (you may opt out at any time)
- Improve HomeCast’s underlying data and report quality
We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not share your contact information or property submissions with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
Where Your Data Lives
HomeCast operates on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. AWS provides industry-standard physical, network, and operational security across data centers that hold compliance certifications including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and others.
Your report data is stored on encrypted volumes. Email delivery is handled through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) with TLS encryption in transit.
Communications
Email communications from HomeCast originate from authenticated domains using DKIM and SPF records to prevent spoofing.
If you receive SMS messages from HomeCast, those are sent through registered carrier-compliant infrastructure. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
Property Data Sources
HomeCast integrates with the ATTOM Data API to retrieve permit history and property characteristics. ATTOM is a licensed, public-record data provider. No private or off-market information is accessed.
The HomeCast inspection intelligence layer is built from professional home inspection reports, anonymized and stripped of personally identifiable information. Homeowner names, contact information, and transaction details are never exposed in HomeCast reports.
Your Rights and Controls
You may request:
- A copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt-out of marketing communications
To exercise any of these rights, email justinb@yourhomecast.com.
For Real Estate Boards, MLS Organizations, and Brokerages
